Chardonnay

The 2016 Metaphora Chardonnay has an extraordinarily rich and sexy nose denoting luxury, with smells of golden apple juice, white fruit, white pepper, ginger snaps, and a bucolic note of hay. The wine is brilliantly constructed, wonderfully ripe and satisfying with great acidity and perfect balance. Flavors expand to pear sauce, flinty minerality and marzipan. The palate absolutely sings with dancing minerality on the finish. This is Carneros Chardonnay at its most serious, and can be easily mistaken for a great Grand Cru Montrachet.
