Cabernet Franc

This virtually opaque ruby/purple-hued 2013 Cabernet Franc shows gorgeous aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, and cassis interlaced with complex layers of dark chocolate, fresh earth, leather, anise, sage, and mineral flavors. Wonder-fully balanced, with a full-bodied, mouth-filling richness and supple-texture, the wine has a long and sophisticated finish.

A Cheval Blanc Napa look-alike, the 2014 Cabernet Franc (100% Cabernet Franc) has a complex nose of forest floor, black raspberry and blueberry, white flowers and a terrific texture without any real sense of heaviness or weight. It is beautifully pure, medium to full-bodied and gorgeous already. Unfortunately, they only made 130 cases. Drink it over the next 50 or so years.
